Alan F1
Compact early determinate — 95 days, easy to grow, disease-tolerant.
59 Ukrainian-bred F1 cultivars in commercial 50, 250, and 500-seed packs. Worldwide.
SEED.UA is the international catalogue of Lazarev Seeds — a family seed company in operation since 1991. We breed, multiply, and trial open-pollinated and F1 vegetable cultivars on our own land, working in close cooperation with Ukrainian agricultural research stations.
What you receive in a packet from us comes from a programme that has continued uninterrupted for thirty-five seasons — through the dissolution of the Soviet seed system, the rise of the global seed majors, and the war. Every cultivar is field-trialled on our own ground before it enters the catalogue.
We sell direct because the alternative — selling through Western distributors — would mean either matching their pricing or being shelved. Neither was acceptable.

A direct comparison with the hybrid programmes that dominate the Western tomato seed market.
50 seeds per packet, with no minimum number of packets. A single 50-seed pack from $9 lets you trial a cultivar before committing a full season. Larger commercial packs available at 250 and 500 seeds with stepped discounts; volumes above 500 quoted on request.
Most of our F1 programme carries resistance to ToMV, Fusarium (Fol races 1–2), and Verticillium — the standard package. We do not currently breed for ToBRFV resistance and don't claim it; major global breeders are ahead on that virus. Where we tend to win is heat-stress flowering, fruit-set under temperature swing, and disease tolerance under low-input cultivation.
Two reasons. First, we're a family operation in Ukraine without a global sales infrastructure to amortise — our cost-per-seed is structurally lower. Second, we sell direct: there is no national distributor taking a 40% margin between us and you. The hybrids are not generic or off-patent — they are proprietary F1s from Ukrainian breeding programmes never commercialised in the Western market.
